Why are identity and sales success related?

What do you do when you are unable to achieve your sales goals through a sales training and coaching program? This is a situation that no one wants to be in.
Sales performance is affected when your identity does not match your role as a salesperson. The mismatch may be a temporary problem, and if you are currently experiencing this, you will need to fix it quickly. Lack of a conscious identity can attract sales negatives such as low self-esteem and low self-confidence.
On the other hand, sellers who have created a strong identity in conjunction with sales skills often become top sales producers.
So what is identity?
Identity is the way you believe in who you are, the way you think about yourself, the way the world looks at you, and the characteristics that define you. It’s about being a seller with the qualities to do what needs to be done to get the desired results. This may sound like a simple thing, but it goes a long way.
The reason is that identity is internal and therefore unconscious, and therefore effective or ineffective behavior is unconsciously reflected to the outside world. If a salesperson has low self-esteem and some of the experience is good at hiding it, sales training will not solve much of the problem. For

example, Business Development Skills does not apply to the postgraduate course. Use the excuses used in the question and do not limit yourself to, “I’m busy with account management. I did not have time.”
Your current success or lack thereof reflects your identity, so what do you say about yourself and others?
If you do not get the results you want, start by being your own best friend. Imagine being the person who already has a new identity, including how you feel at different sales times. Your feelings are the key to developing and unlocking your new identity. Find a quiet space at least twice a day and go through the process.
“It can not be right because it feels awkward … I’m not doing well, I’m fine”, your thoughts will give you reasons to give up on future changes. Do not listen to thoughts and feelings that try to disrupt your journey. This is a natural reaction of your subconscious. It does not want to change. Anxiety breaks down when you replace the old identity and strengthen the new identity.
The great news is that there is no going back once your subconscious accepts that change. It will embrace change and help you achieve your goals. In the short term, however, it will require repetition, repetition, repetition and patience.
